Submit a Complaint

NAAE accepts complaints about the institutions it accredits and about NAAE itself. Both are reviewed under published procedures.

A complaint should concern an institution’s compliance with NAAE’s standards, or NAAE’s own conduct as an accreditor. NAAE does not intervene in individual grade disputes, admissions decisions, or employment matters, and it cannot award damages or other personal remedies.

You will receive acknowledgement that your complaint has been received. NAAE will then determine whether it falls within its authority and, if it does, review it under the applicable procedure.

You may ask that your identity not be disclosed. NAAE will honour that request where it can, but it cannot promise absolute confidentiality: reviewing a complaint may require sharing its substance with the institution concerned, and NAAE may be required to disclose information to the U.S. Department of Education or in response to a lawful demand.

If anonymity is essential to you, contact NAAE before submitting so the options can be explained.

What is your complaint about?

Accredited institutions are listed here. If yours is not, use the box below.

A complaint about an institution NAAE has not accredited still belongs here.

If you know which standard applies, say so. You do not need to — NAAE will decide which standards a complaint engages.
